Canadian Certified Counsellor

Robin O'Gorman

Robin specializes in working with adults, couples, co-parents, and relationships. Focusing on empowerment, her approach is grounded in both practicality and effective therapeutic techniques.  The foundation of Robin's theraputic lens is rooted in positive regard and empathy.

 

​Robin's specialties include relationships, co-parenting relationships, depression, anxiety, infidelity, anxiety, grief, complex change, parenting, divorce, self-esteem, women's issues and life transitions.

Registered Provisional Psychologist

Brooke Greenwood

Leading with compassionate and curiosity, Brooke specializes in working with both adolescents and adults.

Brooke's specialties include working with addiction, anger management, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, self-growth, eating disorders, school issues, bullying, and other concerns.  

 

Brooke believes in the power of change and is dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals. Within the safe and comfortable environment at the Nest, individuals can explore their thoughts and emotions, and ultimately, transform their lives for the better!

Hayley Bailey

Hayley works primarily from a client-centred, holistic approach where she empower clients to see their own inner strengths as they move through personal growth and change.

 

Hayley is passionate about working with individuals (teens & adults) and couples

 

Hayley's specialties include anxiety, parenting issues, trauma, eating disorders, work stress, and those wanting to enhance their relationships.

Hayley believes in authenticity and brings humour, interaction, skilled intervention and passion into her work.

Stephanie Charbonneau

Stephanie values the power of connection, compassion, and the innate wisdom we all carry within ourselves.

 

As a deep feeler and a curious observer, Stephanie appreciates that healing is a unique, deeply personal journey.  Stephanie enjoys working with individuals (children 5+, teens, adults) as well as couples.

Her past work as an educator provided grounded experience when working with children, youth and their family system.  Stephanie works with a multidisciplinary lens.

​

Stephanie brings compassion, authenticity, skilled interventions and compassion into every session.

Registered Social Worker

Claire Gavalia

As a registered social worker with 15 years of experience providing therapy, Claire has a unique understanding of the challenges faced by adults and families with children and youth who are experiencing struggles with their mental health.

​

Having completed play therapy training for certification with the CAPT (through the Maritime Play Therapy Center), Claire is currently completing her supervision hours with a Certified Play Therapist Supervisor!

 

Claire works from a neurodiversity-affirming approach, and has completed training and obtained certification in Autplay Therapy. Using a prescriptive approach to play therapy, Claire tailors her approach to the specific needs of the child and family.

​

While Claire primarily works with children, teens, parents, and families who have experienced significant attachment trauma, she has over 10 years of experience providing trauma therapy to adults, and continues to see adults who have experienced complex trauma.

Registered Social Worker

Jessica Hillier

Jessica has an immense appreciation for being a small part of someone’s journey through life’s most complicated moments. From a place of openness and curiosity, she values creating a nonjudgmental, unbiased, and safe space for you to process and navigate whatever you are experiencing. Therapy can include daily life demands and stressors or exploring topics that can take up more space in your life.

Jessica is passionate about personal growth and development. The therapeutic journey is unique to each individual and what is happening in their life. Finding a place of emotional safety to unpack and problem-solve can be a source of strength, balance, and stability.

 

Through collaboration, Jessica looks for existing strengths and uses psychoeducation to help you become more connected to your true self. Jessica's practice is grounded in empathy, compassion, and curiosity. Self-compassion and self-awareness are integrated throughout their practice.

Canadian Certified Counsellors

Regulation & Direct Billing

Canadian Certified Counsellors are professionally trained Counsellors that hold a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology and have completed the necessary supervision requirements as set out by the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).  Canadian Certified Counsellors are also referred to as Clinical Counsellors through Sunlife.

 

Canadian Certified Counsellors can provide inter-provincial counselling to clients in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

​

Coverage is dependent on the employer chosen plan.  Direct billing is available through Greenshield, SSQ, Medavie Blue Cross, Canada Life, Manulife, Group Source, Simply Benefits. First Canadian, ASEPB, and more. 

Registered Psychologists

Regulation & Direct Billing

Registered Psychologists are Masters trained Psychologists and regulated within the Province of Alberta.  Registered Psychologist is a protected title that is regulated by the College of Alberta Psychologists.  All Registered Psychologists begin as Registered Provisional Psychologists until certification is complete.

 

Registered Psychologists are regulated to work with clients within Alberta.  All clients must be located in the province of Alberta at the time of session.

Coverage is dependent on the employer chosen plan.  Most regulating plans cover Registered Psychologists.  Direct billing is available through Alberta Blue Cross, Greenshield, SSQ, Medavie Blue Cross, Canada Life, Manulife, Group Source, Simply Benefits. First Canadian and more. 

Registered Provisional Psychologists

Registered Provisional Psychologists is a regulated term in Alberta for an individual with a Master’s level counselling Psychology degree that is undergoing professional supervision to become a Registered Psychologist regulated by the College of Alberta Psychologists.  Registered Provisional Psychologists have completed their formal education and are in the process of completing the practice hours and supervision necessary to become a Registered Psychologist.

 

Registered Social Workers are regulated to work with clients within Alberta.  All clients must be located in the province of Alberta at the time of session.
