Claire
Registered Social Worker
As a registered social worker with 15 years of experience providing therapy, I have a unique understanding of the challenges faced by adults and families with children and youth who are experiencing struggles with their mental health.

Having completed play therapy training for certification with the CAPT (through the Maritime Play Therapy Center), I am currently completing my supervision hours with a Certified Play Therapist Supervisor!
I work from a neurodiversity-affirming approach, and I have completed training and obtained certification in Autplay Therapy. Using a prescriptive approach to play therapy, I tailor my approach to the specific needs of the child and family.

While I primarily work with children, teens, parents, and families who have experienced significant
attachment trauma, I have over 10 years of experience providing trauma therapy to adults, and continue to see adults who have experienced complex trauma.
My main modalities are EMDR therapy, equine assisted therapy, sand tray therapy, play therapy,
internal family systems informed, and all in the context of being a relational, attachment-based, and neurodiverse affirming therapist.

My History
A small bit about me! I live in Sherwood Park, a community I love, my partner, our two children, and our pup. When not working, I love spending time with my family, whether that is going to soccer or dance, playing, going to the park, taking our dog to the off-leash, watching Hilda, or seeing family and friends. I have an absolute love for horses and am passionate about relationship-based horsemanship, and while I enjoy riding, my favorite is spending time with my horse, grooming, groundwork, and doing liberty together.
