“Being human is not about being any one particular way; it is about being as life creates you—with your own particular strengths and weaknesses, gifts and challenges, quirks and oddities.”

For as long as I can remember, I have been intrigued by the complexity of the human experience and fascinated by the variety of perspectives that evolve across individuals. Discovering who we are is a beautiful and difficult process; it can bring awareness to our values and hopes, and often simultaneously brings forward new challenges, as well as the pain of past experiences. It is an effortful endeavor and, I believe, an invaluable one.
I am passionate about supporting youth, teens, and young adults through navigating the challenges unique to these phases of life, and I embrace client identities across cultures, genders, sexualities, and neurotypes. I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent folks, including those with ADHD and Autism, as well as clients experiencing anxiety and depression. That experience extends to work supporting common associated challenges like social difficulties, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and eating concerns.

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all and together we can figure out which therapeutic approach fits you. I find that a strengths-based, person-centered approach aligns best with my values and I often draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT).

I believe in customized care and safe, authentic therapeutic spaces. That means that I will be honest and non-judgmental so that you can be too. The road to self-understanding can feel long and winding; we are all just trying our best to navigate it. I hope to help you along that path, and maybe to smooth out some bumps as we go.
Training and Education
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alberta and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

Beyond formal education, I have worked to build my skills across my areas of interest including training in supporting ADHD in clinical settings and navigating suicidality. I have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). I believe that learning is a lifelong pursuit and I look forward to continuing to build my skills throughout my career.

Over the years I have worked in community programming and non-profit settings before making my way into private practice.
My History
As a foster family, I had the privilege of being a sibling to many children throughout my lifetime. This complex experience gave me first hand insight into the impacts of safe, caring relationships and the power of channeling kindness into support. This undoubtedly sparked my interest in mental health and person-centered care. Prior to entering my career in counselling, I held multiple professional roles in supporting Autistic folks in building skills and autonomy. I have carried the values of supporting fulfillment through safe relationships into my work today and I continue to be inspired by the power of connection.

Growing up and living in Sherwood Park, it is an honour to support my community. Outside of the office, I love spending time with my dog, doing yoga, and exploring new restaurants and recipes. I love sunshine, being outside, and good coffee.
