What is Counselling?

Individual counselling is a type of therapy where a person meets one-on-one with a trained mental health professional to discuss their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. The goal of individual counselling is to help the person better understand themselves, their relationships, and their life experiences, and to develop strategies for coping with challenges and achieving their goals.

Counselling can be an effective treatment for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, life change and stress. Through therapy, individuals can learn coping mechanisms, gain insight into their behaviours, and develop a better understanding of their emotions. Counselling can also provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to express their feelings and work towards healing and recovery.
