ABOUT CAITLIN
A space to be
yourself
"Toys are children's words, and play is their language"
-Gary Landreth
Caitlin works with children ages 3 to 11 who are navigating big feelings, anxiety, grief, attachment difficulties, school struggles or changes at home such as separation and divorce. She has over nine years of experience in community mental health and brings a warm, safe and non-judgmental presence to every session.

Children often say through play what they can’t yet put into words. Caitlin’s approach is attachment-based, child-centred and trauma-informed, drawing on play therapy, sand tray, art, music and animal-assisted therapy, as well as EMDR with specialized training for children and adolescents.

Born and raised in St. Albert, Caitlin is a proud Métis citizen who weaves nature, animals and culture into her work. Outside the office, she spends time with her husband, their gentle giant of a pitbull, Marvin, and cats Oscar and Georgia, or at the family cottage over a good board game.

APPROACH
How Caitlin works
My approach is warm, collaborative, and child-centred, creating a safe space where children can express themselves, build confidence, and explore their experiences through play.
I support caregivers in looking beneath the surface of their child’s feelings and behaviours to better understand their underlying needs and find meaningful ways to support them.
