Three simple steps
01

Family counselling is for two or more adult family members attending together.

before the first session.
03
First session
You'll meet together to share what's
happening and set goals as a family.
QUESTIONS
Parents often ask
Who should attend?
Two or more family members, adults or parents with older teens (17+). Your therapist will help decide who should come to each session.
Can minor children join?
Joint sessions can be overwhelming for minor children. They’re often better supported through child or youth counselling, alongside parent support.
What if someone won’t come?
You can still start with the family members who are willing, or begin with individual counselling.
Is family counselling covered by insurance?
Many plans cover Registered Psychologists, and we direct bill 26+ insurers. Check your plan for details.
